Trauma & PTSD Treatment
Healing Means More Than Talking About What Happened.
Trauma can influence emotions, thoughts, relationships, sleep, concentration, physical sensations, and the way the nervous system responds to everyday life.
Our trauma-informed approach recognizes that healing sometimes requires more than understanding the past intellectually.
Treatment may incorporate psychotherapy, cognitive and emotional regulation strategies, mindfulness, nervous-system education, and neurofeedback when appropriate.
Research investigating EEG neurofeedback for chronic PTSD has reported encouraging results, including randomized controlled studies, although neurofeedback continues to be an evolving area of research. (PubMed)
